Re-shoot Blog Filming

Today was the day we planned to re-edit. My group got transported there by Kelsey's parents in their
car. I had to drive over a bit later cause I had to stay after class to finish a test. In the peer review the
group that reviewed our film said we needed to show the thing on the main characters hand more.
This was blood on the main characters hand. The way we did this the first time was fake blood on
Tekla's hand. Then rubbing it in to give a more realistic look. But this time we didn't have anymore
fake blood. We used all the fake blood in the first time filming so the problem was how are we gonna
recreate this scene without fake blood. We looked to see if we had red food coloring but we couldn't
find any. We tried ketchup but it didn't give the desired look. We also tried red pen but it looked very
bad. We ended up using a mix of red pen and red marker. The filming of the scene was very
interesting. We moved the bed so there was room for Dominic our camera man. We then had him lay
next to the bed. This was so that we could get a shot on the same level as the character laying in bed.
For the sake of the film we had our actor Tekla wear the same pajamas worn in all of the previous
scenes. We had to make sure the to use the same blankets cause this scene was in bed. We made sure the main character was in the same position and everything was the same. Such as positioning of the blanket and the pillow. This was a very successful filming process and we expanded as to what was on the hand of the main character.

Peer Review Blog

Today was the first day of the peer review process. The night before we exported our movie onto a flash drive to share it with a peer. We begun by getting the forums required to review our peers. We then went to find out what group we were assigned. We were assigned to review group 4. But it was strange as no one was set to review our group. We were somewhat upset as we weren't getting any feedback. As we already put our movie onto a flash drive so we just held onto it. But then we began to review the film given to us by group 4. The first thing we noticed was the film was 11 seconds over the time limit it should be. We suggested that they tried to shorten some of the scenes or just not have them. The first scene was a really well made scene where we saw the main character packing a bag with a knife and a few other items. This scene was shot in silence creating a ominous and creepy mood. Then they went on to show him going out to the car nothing special about this scene. then the character was seen putting his bag in the trunk and this was a trunk shot as the camera was in there before he opened it. They then had a action match of him sitting in a car putting in the key then cutting to him after travelling to the park taking out the key and turning off the car. Many of these scenes were very good. But the most interesting scene was the scene where the main character was shown killing his target cause it actually looked like he got stabbed. The plot consisted of a killer for hire getting ready to kill a target. Then acquiring his target from a lady in the park then finding his target at a Basketball court and killing them. It was very interesting and none of the scenes were uninteresting.
